Postcard from Berlin
I was in Berlin last week playing assistant to my girlfriend, Louise. She has a solo show at the Laura Mars Grp, a great gallery in Kreuzberg. If you're in Berlin get along to the gallery and check it out!

One of the highlights of the trip for me was meeting some great people. I got to know Artist and Illustrator Sophia Martineck online before we headed out to Berlin and it was a real pleasure to meet her. Not only is she producing some beautiful work she also cooks a mean pork roast with beer gravy! Thanks Sophia, we'll see you in Brighton some time.

It was also a great pleasure to meet another fantastic artist Henning Wagenbreth. I've long been a fan of Henning's work and I have a couple of his fabulous posters at home. While we were there we saw some of his recent work including this great Kieler Woche poster in the streets. And if you don't know it, check out Cry for Help It's great!

This was my third visit to Berlin and I'm sure I'll go again. It's a great city with lots of interesting museums, exhibitions, street art and of course a lot of history.
If you're interested there are some photos in my Berlin Flickr set from various trips.
Thanks to everyone we met and had a beer or coffee with.

Louise's work is brilliant. I was surprised to find a Montreal metro station in "Rite of Spring".
Hi Allan
You and Louise are both doing some great stuff as usual. I particually love 'family tent'- brings to mind some sort of grim Eastern Block holiday in the 1970s.
